New Partners in Process Improvement
12 November 2008, Ithaca, NY - Palisade Corporation has formed a new partnership with SigmaFlow, Plano, Texas, a developer of process improvement solutions. Under the partnership agreement, SigmaFlow will use Palisade’s @RISK and PrecisionTree software with its proprietary knowledge-sharing platform.
Quality Improvement Turns to Monte Carlo Simulation and Best Practice Knowledge Transfer
As Six Sigma and other quality improvement practitioners look for ever-increasing accuracy in their process analyses, Palisade has seen a rapid expansion in the use of its Monte Carlo simulation and decision tree tools—@RISK 5.0 and PrecisionTree—in this market.
SigmaFlow’s platform combines project portfolio management with integrated process analysis and improvement tools to streamline execution of any template-based methodology. The company’s proprietary knowledge transfer methodology and enabling system identifies best demonstrated practices, provides tools to distill the root causes of success, and transfers success throughout an organization.
As the new partnership gets under way, SigmaFlow will incorporate the enhanced precision of the Palisade tools in its knowledge transfer platform. By partnering with SigmaFlow to deploy its software tools, Palisade will further extend the use of Monte Carlo simulation and predictive decision trees among quality improvement professionals.
Linking Technologies
A recent article in Quality Digest, “Process Mapping for Knowledge Transfer” describes the synergy between SigmaFlow methodology and Palisade Corporation technology.
“Palisade’s Monte Carlo simulation and decision tree tools--@RISK 5.0 and PrecisionTree are valuable tools to help our customers perform insightful risk and decision analysis,” said Jay Holstine, SigmaFlow President and CEO.
Likewise, Palisade’s Six Sigma Product Manager, Stephen Hunt, sees the value added by combining the two companies’ strengths. “SigmaFlow brings comprehensive capabilities that complement @RISK because they add Value Stream Mapping, discrete event simulation, and project portfolio management with integrated tools to our risk and decision analysis capabilities.”
