Palisade's Software Users Congregate at Cornell University
FIFTH ANNUAL HOMETOWN CONVENTION DRAWS GLOBAL CLIENTELE
Newfield, NY - April 23, 2003. The Ithaca-area software developer Palisade Corporation is pleased to announce its fifth annual customer training convention at Cornell University, August 11-13. Ithaca is a popular summer venue, and the three-days of meetings draw customers from North America, Central America, and Europe. Events will take place in the School of Hotel Administration and the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Palisade produces decision support software based on the latest
techniques in computational mathematics. The company was founded
in 1984 and now maintains offices in Newfield, Denver, and London.
At present more than 150,000 people use Palisade software in fields
that range from finance to oil and mineral exploration, real estate
to heavy manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals to aerospace. Its software
is used by many Fortune 500 companies, including Shell Oil, Procter
and Gamble, ExxonMobil, and Chase Manhattan and by prominent economic
and financial consultants.
Palisade’s annual summer meeting offers instruction from the
foremost experts in risk analysis and decision process. The attendees
bring many different levels of technical skill to the conference.
Some are relative novices with quantitative tools, some are experienced
analysts seeking to improve their skill sets, and still others are
project managers looking to mitigate risks in their schedules and
budgets.
While Palisade maintains an active program of on-site training
for corporate customers, the hometown meetings are an opportunity
for the company to expand the scope and depth of its direct training
and for its Newfield staff to meet directly with the people who
use their software.
