John Zhao

John Zhao has 20 years of industrial experience in large capital projects in the oil & gas industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) in engineering and a MSc. in management from UK. John has been an active advocate of project risk management principles in project execution management.

Realizing that many business decisions are made without in-depth knowledge of forthcoming risk consequences, John pioneered and tested a successful risk-based stochastic decision-making process for major project selections. He developed a set of techniques to manage project risks from inception to completion, which includes the use of risk register, Monte Carlo simulation for project costs and schedules, and decision trees for option selections.
