Access Privileges

To run the PrecisionTree installer, you must have write access to your WINDOWS and WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories. You must also have read, write, delete, and execute access to your TEMP directory. If you do not have this access, contact your system administrator. Write access to these directories is only needed during installation, not while running PrecisionTree itself. You must have read, write, and delete access to your system registry to install PrecisionTree. The PrecisionTree installer creates several registry keys, to which PrecisionTree must have read, write, and delete access at run time. These privileges are set up automatically during installation, but if you later change your registry's privileges, you may need to reinstall PrecisionTree.

Note: Versions 1.0.3 and earlier of PrecisionTree required write and read access to the Microsoft Office Library subdirectory. PrecisionTree 1.0.4 does not require this access. See also Updating Macro References.
