Top Analyst Firm Focuses On Tools to Simulate Risk

Newfield, NY - February 17, 2003. Two Palisade risk analysis tools are the subject of a new report by Gartner, Inc., the premier analyst firm for information technology. Gartner advises more than 10,000 corporate clients on high-tech products and processes, and last week it singled out @RISK and @RISK for Project for client attention.

Until recently the IT industry as a whole has not devoted much attention to the uncertainties surrounding the acquisition and management of information. But 9/11 brought in its wake heightened corporate awareness of the potential vulnerabilities of company information systems. Most of the major high-tech analysts have responded by consolidating their risk assessment and management teams under the label “security” and are evaluating software tools that will help them resolve client concerns on a corporate-wide basis.

Since fall 2001 Palisade has addressed increased corporate awareness of risk through its corporate sales and training functions. Enterprise-wide and site-wide licenses for Palisade software have more than doubled in that time.
