London 22-23 June 2006
Palisade is pleased to announce the success of its first European User Conference. Held in London on 22-23 June, 2006, the event attracted practitioners, academics, and consultants from across the UK and the continent.
“The feedback we’ve received from the delegates has been overwhelmingly positive,” noted Palisade Europe Managing Director Craig Ferri. “Virtually everyone indicated they took away tangible insights they could apply to their day-to-day problems. We are extremely pleased with the success of our first User Conference for Europe.”
Attendees had the opportunity to hear a keynote speech from one of the leading experts on quantitative finance and derivatives, Dr. Paul Wilmott, as well as explore firsthand industry case studies on the applications of risk and decision analysis in sectors ranging from banking to oil and gas. Furthermore, delegates spent time with Palisade’s top software engineers in scheduled roundtable discussions, gained modelling insights with hands-on software training, and networked with other decision-makers.
The London conference was the first of a global series of User Conferences from Palisade in 2006 that includes events in Sydney, Australia, and Miami, Florida.
Customers that took part in European event included: GE Money Home Lending, Soluziona, ioMosaic Corporation, Pantektor, Halcrow Group, IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, Istria, and more.
“I found the Palisade conference useful - especially because it brought together experts, both from academia and across various industries to discuss fundamental areas in Risk. The work shops were well organised and gave us a chance to get a closer look at strengths of the Palisade software.”
-Amar Dhayatker, Head of Planning and Forecasting Risk, GE Money Home Lending UK
"The Palisade Conference was the perfect opportunity for Risk Professionals from across Europe to come together and discuss best practice in the risk analysis field. The presentations and Q&A sessions were very informative, and the case studies were particularly insightful. A very successful event that I hope to attend again in the future."
-Dr. Paul Wilmott
